Chair - Sue Calhoun
The role of the Federation Promotion Committee is to promote our Canadian and
International Federations of BPW Clubs, to publicize activities around our key
priority issues, and to attract new members. Building membership is a major
priority of the 2006 - 2008 biennium. That includes increasing membership in
existing clubs, and forming new clubs. It may be a cliché to say but there
is strength in numbers. BPW Canada is working on some very important issues
- a national childcare program, income equity for women and women in politics,
to name just a few. The more voices we have, the greater strength, the more
likely we are to be heard. So join us. Contact your Provincial President (see
"Contacts" page) to find out where there is a club near you or what you might do
to start one. We now have a Virtual Club for women who travel a lot or who live
in areas without a club, and there is a contact for that as well on the
"Contacts" page. If there isn't a Provincial President in your province, please
contact me directly and we'll see what we can do. We'll be posting our
activities regularly on this page. We have an exciting program lined up for the
next two years, a dynamic Board of Directors, and we really hope you get
involved!
- BPW International has launched the
The Triple One Crown Membership Challenge. A special pin - a beautiful piece
of jewellery - will be awarded to each member who brings in one new
member per year or three new members during this triennium (2005-08). All
who receive it can wear it proudly that they contributed to BPW! As an
additional incentive, members who bring in 10 or more new members by July
2008 will be eligible to win a free air ticket from anywhere in the
world to BPWI Congress in Merida, Mexico on October 24-28th, 2008! We're
encouraging our BPW Canada clubs to get involved in this very worthwhile
initiative. Together, with your support, participation and commitment, we
can make the next few years a period of great growth for BPW
Canada and around the world.
What Club presidents need to do - Fill out the
Triple One Crown Club Reporting Form (Word).
Reporting will be done quarterly. Reporting months are end September, end
December 2007; end March, end June and July 15th, 2008.
Federation Promotion Committee member Ruth Bradford has agreed to be the
contact point for reporting. Club Presidents, please send your quarterly
report to Ruth at
Mexique. Pour ce faire, utiliser le
Formulaire rapport Couronne Triple (Word).
Envoyez votre rapport à Ruth Bradford au

Publicity and public relations subcommittee: This committee is an essential
part of what we do to promote our Federation. Its role is to publicize our
activities, and to speak to the media on key issues. If you are a club member
who would like to participate on this subcommittee or if you are a member of the
media and would like more information about BPW Canada, contact Darlene Cleven by
e-mail at dcleven@sasktel.net.

Clubs Under Construction - We currently have groups in various parts of the
country that are in the process of starting a BPW Club. This will happen a lot
in 2006-08, and we will post this information, with a contact name and e-mail
address, as it evolves. If you have a club that's starting in your area, send
the information to scalhoun@nbnet.nb.ca.
