Childcare in 2008 continues to be a high priority for BPW Canada and for working women across the country, whether in rural areas or urban centres. Childcare is an important topic for working women, one that we should feel comfortable in talking about - whether in a social setting, at the bus stop or asking a question in public during an election campaign. Childcare is a joint responsibility between the federal government and provincial governments.

We urge BPW members to take a leadership role in advocating for a national early learning and childcare program.
